1. Connect camera to any spare PoE port on back of NVR.
2. Connect laptop to any other spare PoE port via Cat5 cable.
3. On laptop, right click network and select network settings.
4. Choose “Change adaptor options”
5. Right click ethernet and adaptor and select “Properties”
6. Select IPV 4 and “Properties”
7. Select “Use following Ip address”
8. Enter an IP address within same range of attached camera
Dahua = 192.168.1.109
Viper = 192.168.226.202
- One left click in subnet mask field to auto populate field, leave default gateway blank.
- Click Ok
- Click Close on previous window
9. Open Microsoft Edge and enter the IP address of the camera into address bar (Dahua example below)
(If Dahua camera, it will show initialisation guide when logged in)
10. Once logged in, navigate to Network Settings and adjust the IP address to whichever port the camera is connected to i.e. Port number 2 – 192.168.3.12, Port number 3 – 192.168.3.13
Subnet = 255.255.255.0
Gateway = 192.168.3.1
Save settings
11. On NVR right click and select IP Channel, then login.
12. Click on the modify pencil for the channel you are adding.
13. Use the pop window to add the login details of the camera.
Click once complete, wait up to 2 minutes and camera will show online.
