1. Login & live view screen
When the NVR has fully booted, the first image that will be displayed on the monitor will be multi-tiled video monitor window (as shown below). This will display the video feeds from all the cameras you currently have connected to the NVR device.
Full-screen mode
Double click a camera channel panel, with an image, to expand and view in full-screen mode. Double click again to return to multi-tiled video monitor window.
Right-click options
Click right mouse button to bring up the main options list (see image below):
Logging into playback interface
Default login details:
Username: admin
Password: ad^min
Instantly playback
Whilst in the live view screen you can select a camera and instantly playback footage from up to 30 minutes ago. By clicking on the Instant Playback option you will be taken straight to playback interface where it will automatically be set up.
- Right click on the camera channel you would like to playback.
- Select ‘Instant Playback’ from options list (see image left).
- Select from the next list how far back in time in minutes you would like to playback.
- Login to Playback interface to view footage.
2. Using playback to view footage
Once you have successfully logged in to the Playback interface (see image below), you will be able to view the recorded video footage on the NVR’s hard disk drive.
1. Choose tiling view
To customise your multi-view playback window you can select one of the view options as shown below. You can choose between having a single, 4, 9, 16, 25 and 32 channel views (depending on the NVR’s capability).
2. Select recording date
Choose and click the date on the calendar for which you would like to see recorded footage.
3. Select cameras
The ‘Cameras For Playback’ section, lists all cameras that are connected to the NVR. Double click on a camera channel to automatically appear in the multi-panel playback window, or click and hold left mouse button over the channel, and drag them to the desired panel.
4. Use playback controls to search footage
Highlight the camera shown on the tiles by clicking on it. Use the playback controls to rewind, fast-forward, pause, resume, and step forward video footage.
You can also select the precise time and date of the footage you wish to view.
Click ‘Go’ to confirm date and time selection.
5. Or use incident timeline to view & select incidents
The Incident Timeline will show all (if any) motion detected in front of the camera channels you have selected within the multi-tile playback window. The detected motion will be represented by green bars. The amount of motion detected is represented by the height of the green bars (the higher the bar the higher the amount of motion). To view footage from a particular point during that day, click on the timeline bar at that particular time.
3. How to backup footage externally
You can extract and backup an incident caught on video to an external storage device. Plug storage device into a spare USB port on the NVR before continuing.
- On the playback interface, click on the ‘Incidents’ button.
- An ‘Incident Viewer’ window will appear, click the ‘New’ button at the bottom to bring up the ‘Incident Editor’, see below.
- Select which camera(s) the incident to backup was captured upon, and the start & end times of when the incident occurred. Click ‘OK’ when complete.
- You will then see the incident logged upon the ‘Incident Viewer’
- When you have logged all the incidents you would like to back up, on the playback interface, click on the backup button:
The ‘New Backup’ window will appear. Select incident to backup from list. Click on ‘Find Drives’ and select a drive to backup incident info. Click on ‘Backup Now’ to complete process.
