This guide will instruct you how to update the firmware of the recorder found in KIT-008 to support P2P.
What you will need:
- Windows based PC/Laptop

- Internet connection
Open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.) then go to the web address below to download the firmware file: here
Once the firmware file has downloaded, plug your USB stick into the Windows based PC/Laptop. Open the USB stick, make sure there are no other files on the stick. Move the firmware file onto the USB, once completed, safely eject the USB stick.
Insert the USB stick into a spare USB port on your recorder, you will see an on-screen dialog box appear with various option, click the Upgrade option.
Another window will now open displaying the firmware file, click the file name to highlight it, now click Start.
(Note: Do not turn off your recorder while the update is in progress as this will render the recorder unusable)
The firmware will now install, once completed the recorder will reboot, this is normal. Upon reboot the recorder will boot into the new firmware.
You will now need to factory default your recorder.
(Note: this will remove all current settings and restore them to factory default settings.)
The recorder will once again reboot, this is normal. Upon reboot your unit will be ready to set up and will support P2P.
