To set up the PTZ to enable the auto tracking feature, you will need to log into the camera with a laptop, using the Dahua Camera Configuration Tool to find the IP address of the camera.
When logging in to the camera on internet explorer, if you have not initialised a camera, it will ask you for a password to set the camera up for the first time. If it has already been initialised, you can use the log in details for the camera that have already been setup.
A guide for logging into cameras can be found here.
Go to settings at the top of the page, go to PTZ on the left and go to function.
Set the camera in the direction you want to cover, and click add, and then click save.
Go to Smart Plan within Event, and add a new plan and link it to the preset that you just made. You will then need to click on Deep IVS and click save.
Go to Deep IVS within Event, and click the green plus at the top of the dialogue box on the right of the camera image, you can then select a rule type of Intrusion or Tripwire.
The options that will need to be enabled are Alarm Track which is the enabling effect of the auto track feature. The object filter can then be selected as human, motor vehicle or both. The Track Time is the maximum time the camera will track for. For Intrusion, the action can be changed for appears or cross, which is the trigger process to start the tracking.
